Blue Moon

It's happening on the east coast. The second full moon this month is rising in the south eastern sky.

Enjoy!

I loves me that! Thanks, Stacey, for reminding me. Time to head out onto the deck to enjoy whatever is left of it!

And just think- another several weeks, and it will be an August Moon. The one last year was simply breathtaking in these parts- filled half the horizon. I thought the sky was on fire- had to get off my bike and just stare. If you haven't seen one, I highly recommend it.

Jack would be an awesome companion for an August Moon

I thought "blue moon" resulted from sitting on the ice too long...

Can you see the Perseid meteor showers from your deck? I'm quite sure Jack would love them- 8/11-8/14 or so, after midnight.
