    MacStake whine......

Tired of needing to clean my registry and stuff
all the time on the (t)rusty HP, and needing a new
rig anyway, I fell for the mystique of the Mac...
A MacBook-Superdrive version to be exact, and beleive I
a huge MacStake. It freezes constantly.
I really think I prefer cleaning spyware to rebooting
in the middle of an operation, twice a day.

    Just venting.....carry on.

Take it back mate, it shouldn't freeze. Apple are good with returns.
My 4 year old iBook hasn't frozen yet.

Yep, you must have something odd there. Take it back, get it sorted. Don't let your intro to Macdom be sullied by an unfortunate dose of lemonade.

Lem, I think there is something really wrong with your machine. Take it back. AppleCare is good.

Its under warranty, I'd consider taking it back.

If this were a Mac running OS9 or earlier, I'd consider it par for the course, but since OS X is actually a decent platform (Mach/BSD/NeXTStep + Mac processes), this should not be happening for any reason on a machine bought recently.

    Probably Microsoft's fault somehow.

Absolutely. I mean a bad Microsoft machine caused him to buy a Mac. If the MS machine did not suck then Lem would never have bought the Mac in the first place
