Cancellera catches the motorcycles in London...

Did anyone see that London prolog TT chicane where Cancellara was riding so friggin fast one of the pace motorcycles in front of him looked like the were going to crash trying to negotiate the turns fast enough to stay ahead of the storming TT cyclist? Cancellera was right up their butts. I've seen that on fast mountain descents. NEVER on a flat TT. That was dude was HAMMERING.

My Honda goes 0-100 in 8.3 seconds. That's faster than Cypress. Maybe not with a tailwind, but most days I mean.

As a motorcyclist who pilots a Honda CBR, this aspect of the 2007 TdF is very interesting. Good stuff.

My thoughts exactly. Fabio would have never caught me on my Duc ST4s either.

Nice ride Pcad.

This machine is similar to the one I pilot as a motorcycle marshal for USCF Category I/II races:

The motorpacing bike at track nationals was a Suzuki Bandit (I think it was a Bandit) with a special steel roller on the back, so the lead rider could rub his wheels on it without going down.

Since when do motorcyclists describe themselves as "pilots?" The only flying I've ever seen any of them do is purely inadvertent and usually involves death or serious injury.

DrPete,

You make a very good point. That is a designation I had previously never heard.

Well thank God there's no risks associated with cycling.

By the way Hell has Frozen Over. Harely Davidson has announced the availability of ABS brakes as an option for a bunch of its 2008 bikes.
