How Many Male Bicyclists Out There? Female Cyclists?

How many of you cyclists out there are males? How many of you are females? When I'm out riding, most of the cyclists I've passed happened to be male. There are also a considerable number of female cyclists out there as well. With increasing curiosity, I ask the following questions in this unofficial poll. How many of you are male cyclists? How many of you are female cyclists?

__male cyclists

__female cyclists

I'm a dude. I tend to see other dudes while I'm out riding. Curiously, I seem to see more female cyclists when I'm riding my motorcycle or driving my truck.

one female here.

not sure how you are going to collect your data in this very scientific poll. But, I see what you are saying. In my weeknight group rides, out of oh, say, 25 riders, there are 3 of us ladies in the mix. More for me!

Male.

I was at the parking lot to one of our busiest MB trails recently. Most of the riders getting ready to go on the trails were female (usually it's more like a 50/50 split). I would say it's a 70/30 split when I road bike and it's about a 70/30 split when I'm commuting (more guys road biking & commuting).

Geez, I missed the "on here" part of your post at first. I was beginning to worry about the large number of legally/completely blind cyclists near you.

Hallaloooooya, sista!

And it doesn't help when I go out with the Thursday night, TourdeBar group that's all guys - as we plow down the face of the reservoir hill and zoom onto the streets, etc - some of their fan club beeps and screams at us - especially the little gurls.

HEY!!! Girl here!!!!

I've only ever had male riding partners, except for riding with a woman during a group ride the next county over.

I am lucky. I have a mixed group that I ride with. The guys when I want to go fast/hard/hammer, and a women's cycling club when I want to ride/chat/hang out.
