Don't run red lights, wear a helmet, use hand signals, get some cycle lights(front and rear) and, FFS, don't run red lights!

I know the feeling. I just moved from Florida which has proper rain (and major heavy usually) to the Pacific North West where rain is much like typical London rain.

A few years ago I went to UK to work with a company we had ties with (in Reading) and I remember the director I worked with said he traveled all over the U.S. quite a bit and Seattle area (where I live) was the place that most reminded him of home.

yup - my brother's moving to Seattle (Big wheel in IT ) - Trying to convince him that the commute from Portland isn't so bad

And, yes, everyone I've met who's been to Seattle agrees the weather is very similar to the UK.

Are you talking about a daily commute to work or something? That was my impression.
