Go for a ride and bring back a photo

How about taking a pic on your ride today and post it here. Just one photo. I'm heading out in about an hour and I'll post mine here.

Well if you don't go for a ride today (outside) then go Sunday and take a photo. It's still raining lightly here so my plans are delayed too.

There's a number of 'em like that. They're just all pretty short-distance, rolling hills, if you will, as discussed at length in another thread. By the time I descend one, I'm halfway up the next, and it's a simple matter to just stand, hammer, crest, and repeat. But ascents like what you have would kill me. Gotta work up to that much sustained effort....

Yes, we don't have much of your type of riding up here. It's all about pacing yourself in the mountains. Just like a tt, only not quite as hard an effort.

I just got back from my ride. Managed to work around the rain and the road was mostly dry! Here's a photo from near the top of the climb at 6020' on the BRP.

This section of the BRP will be part of the SEBF ride in Sept.

T-storms supposed to be comin.. so I didn't head off into the woods like I normally would.

About halfway down the hill I rememberd last years crop rows at the bottom. That was interesting.

Just got back so I didn't know. Maybe I'll get one from my roadie ride tomorrow but I doubt I'll have a camera. I'll take a mental image of it for you and we can talk about it over tea.

Monday. I had to borrow an MTB for today and I have a roadie lined up for tomorrow. Then I have to quickly wash and pack everything so I can jump on a plane to Africa Monday afternoon. If I get my passport back anyway.

The ride was enjoyable until mile 77... I can deal with headwinds. Just not while climbing 10% grades.

Pine Grove Church Road in Harrisburg. I hit these little hills in the first three miles of the ride. I thnk this is polara's favorite section of the route.

What a crazy ride night. This one took me 10 miles downtown. I decided to pop into a nice coffee shop to get a bite to eat, see if friends were in the area, and adjust my saddle [shoved too far back]. I ended up meeting up with a few friends and chilling out. Then, The King showed up.

Oh, and as I was riding back, there was a homeless looking man standing on the corner just yelling different things. It was scary. I was maybe 15 feet away waiting at the red light and he would look at me, then turn around where nobody was and yell "We're all ****ed up" and things like "you mother ****ers!" He was acting like he was talking and yelling at someone right next to him. It was nuts.
