Will I need to show ID?

My package that is coming Monday requires a signature AND a sig of one over 21 years of age. Problem is I am 17 and by golly I hope when I come to answer the door, the man won't ask me for any I.D. What do I do? My dad won't be home, my mom may, so would it be ok if she signs it also? Ug

Whoever accepts the stuff has to be 21.

Let her sign it.

Is this just for a regular delivery? If so I've accepted tons of packages for my dad when I was clearly in middle school, this is the first I've heard of needing to be 21 to do so.

Unless it's alcohol, why would you need to be 21 for it and not 18?

I signed for lots of stuff from UPS when I was in high school. Unless the contents of the package require you to be 21 or something, I doubt it'll be a problem.

You have to be 21, 18 doesn't matter.

Man in brown will not ask for ID.

Even if you were 2.

Like others mentioned before me, unless it is alcohol, you probably will be fine.

In California, however, I had to show two forms of ID the last time we had wine delivered here. Stupid state.

If your name is on it, they tend not to ask for ID. You ordered it. They want to give it to you. Worked that way when this stupid company wanted signature service for a knife I ordered when I was 19.

Atleast you can have wine delivered. If I want to get mail order alcohol I have to have it shipped to a friend in Conn and then he removes the alcohol stickers and ships it to me. GD law. THE MAN IS HOLDING ME DOWN!

If it's that important, EJ, why not just call UPS and get the real scoop? Why ask us idiots? What are you waiting for, a new wheel set?

Yeah, I'm kinda curious ---- I've never had to show ID - especially of age ID - when I signed for something. ??
