Do you still hold a torch over your first love?

I went to my class reunion and saw my first girlfriend. Geez, I thought I was over her.

It's said that you never forget or get over your first love. In my case, I guess it's true.

Not at all. Staying with him as long as I did was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made romantically.

Wow, my first love? I fell big time. My heart was like fertile ground ready to grow. She was wonderful. Afterwards, the fertile ground became more claylike.

Pfft. Yeah right.

But he has regrets and every once in a while finds me. And I tell him the same thing every time:

NO!!!!

I saw my first love a couple months ago. No candle burning there. He still calls/sends me a text every now and then.

My first girlfriend and I are still friends, but there's no romantic interest. It wasn't always a pleasant relationship after breaking up, but after a few years of growing up, we've been good platonic friends ever since.

I think the husband of the first girl I actually loved would shoot me on sight. That really puts a damper on things.

Would I want to be with him? No way. Could he still make my toes curl with a look and a few words? Absolutely.

This lady at work said the reason her toes curled was because she forgot to take off her pantyhose before hand....

I don't think anyone ever "gets over" their first "true love." For guys, I don't think most people ever feel the same way about anyone beczause they dont let themselves get that close again
