My HP Calculator

My old HP-15 calculator was acting up, but all it needed was new batteries. Crisis averted.

Those who own one will understand.

Carry on.

I wonder where I put my HP-48SX. Yes, its an old model, but the way HP designed the expansion cards rocks with the spring loaded flap protecting the card edge connectors.

Minesweeper was fun on it too.

I think I would die without my HP's. I can't use an algebraic calculator anymore.

And it pisses me off no end that HP has abandoned us.

I had an HP48G (not the Gx - no card slot) that was indispensable in college. After college, though, I rarely used it. I finally sold it at a garage sale right before I moved to WA.

Once you get used to the RPN, you just love it.

RPN FTW!!!

I have a 48GX and a 32S. I used to have an 11c, but I think my first wife got it. Which is kinda funny cuz she had no clue how to use it.

On the rare occasions my wife needs to borrow my calculator, she has to do two or three sample problems to make sure she's using it right.

Still happily married, mostly because that's her only character flaw.

RPN is the absolute best, especially with hairy problems to solve.

Thankfully HP is still making real calculators. I wonder how good their new 50g is, if it has the heft and solid feel of their older calculators, or if it feels like cheap plastic. It appears the 50g supports tried and true RPN, as well as algebraic notation, so both camps can be happy.

HP-15C Best Ever! I don't think I have ever replaced the battery on mine and it is probably 30 years old.

/me is tempted to get a 35s...

I know I can get myself to work in RPN, although everything I've had before is algebraic. (And, of course, lately, I can get away with a four-banger...)

I've got RPN IiI (an app that... gives you RPN functionality...) on my TI-83+, but it's definitely not the same.
