No-one probably cares, but some people make me sick. How f'ed up in the head do you need to be to do this?

Reward offered to catch cat skinner
    August 09, 2007 04:17pm

A $1000 reward is being offered to help find the person who tried to skin a cat alive on the Gold Coast.

RSPCA Gold Coast inspector Kyle Chaplin said the cat was targeted last month and its owner today posted the reward after investigations had stalled.

The 14-year-old pet was found by its owner on July 7 on Brighton Street, Biggera Waters after an overnight attack.

It has since recovered after veterinary treatment.

"The horrified owner called the RSPCA and then letter-dropped the area begging anyone who had any information to come forward,'' Mr Chaplin said.

"So far there has been no response.''

He said he hoped the reward would encourage someone to come forward.

The reward will be paid once someone is charged over the attack.

Maximum penalties for animal cruelty are $75,000 or two years' imprisonment.

Information can be given to the RSPCA's cruelty complaint hotline on 1300 852 188.

^^^ yes indeed. There is a very strong correlation between animal abuse and interpersonal violence. In fact, people who come in to see a vet with an animal that's been injured through obvious abuse are possible sentinels of something nasty going on in the home, like spouse or child abuse.

Damn, I hate it when I see stories like this.

I care, gabdy. I hope they find that pathetic excuse for a human being and nail them to the wall. Unfortunately, it isn't easy. We had a serial dog killer leaving poisoned food on the ground in this one park a few years ago. It was terrible, and they were never caught.

Perhaps not. Here in Australia we aren't very technologically advanced, I've never been able to view it in Safari.

If anyone knows the fix, please PM me.

My friend living in Jamaica got his dog's head cut off and left on his front porch.. it kind of freaked him out really bad. His dad had to sack their gardener the day before (for growing weed in their plot.. how stupid is that? -?) ..and their gardener wasn't too happy about that. His dad let him carry a gun after that (he was like 13 at the time) . .kewlist.dad.ever.

Doesn't work for Firefox or Opera either. Whatever programme you're using to write the blog site outputs non-standard HTML that only Internet Explorer can read.
