have you ever noticed

Have you ever noticed that when word gets out that for what ever reason or another that you are basically celibate, people start throwing their panties at you?

Figuratively? Um. No. But that's probably because I'm too old for the male population under 55.

I wished I'd noticed such a thing. Does it only happen to guys?

I don't wear panties. Except for really really really special occasions, like Grandma's birthday.

Actually, the whole time I wore a wedding ring, I was surprised at the number of men who'd strike up a conversation out of the blue -- on busses, trains, planes, in grocery stores, waiting at a street corner, etc.... I guess there's a safety factor of some sort. They feel they can practice flirting without it going anywhere. <shrug>

I haven't worn my ring since November. And I may as well be invisible....

My wife and I talked about this a while back. People talk to married men and women when they are out for the challenge. I know of many men that are not married the wear wedding rings for this purpose. It seems to be a challenge to take the married guy home with you.

I tend to be "invisible" to others, regardless of whether I'm single or dating at the time.

That sounds like a good angle to try. I'll have to start spreading that rumor.
