There's a lot riding on this KP. While you've been hill training, Cypress has been smoke training. Make us NYers proud or we'll kill you.

I am not picky. I would settle for chicken blood, blood sausage, my own green gelatinous blood, whatever.

Penguin and I drove out to the course to check out the first climb.

My consensus was "ridiculous".

If I get a top 10, I'll be more than pleased.

We did go on a short ride today.

KP = climber

Cypress = sprinter.

plays into my plan perfectly. KP=George Hincapie pulling the freight train. You=Tom Boonen sprinting to finish

Maybe. It's sort of a hilltop finish, so if I can hang with the climbers over the first hill and suck a wheel up the last, I might be able to take the sprint with KP hot on my heels. There is sort of a "plan".

I've ridden that entire course three separate times and have been up East Hawley road a number of times during weekend group rides. This was suppose to be my A ride for the year before I injured my back

Welcome to the steep fast, relentless pitches of New England. Just ride your ride brother. It ain't nothing but a hill! For the record and this comes from several veterans of this race, this race is not won on East Hawley Road...It is won in the last five miles climbing route 9. He who has the reserves then wins!

I'm glad nothing will happen on Hawley. That would be just plain rude.

I'll save the boinking for tomorrow. During the race...

Hey, baybuh, gonna swing down this way before heading back out west? There's a 10-mile TT here on Wednesday night.
