Perfect Vacation Home Location

Assuming you had the money, time, ect, where would you buy your ideal vacation home? Aspen, Seattle, Malibu, Miami? Las Vegas would be at the top of my list. I lived there for two years during high school, there is a lot to LV other then the strip, Lake Mead, Red Rock Canyon, and Summerlin is an incredible place to live.

British Columbia or Maine. As to Europe, Bruges, Dijon, or possibly Amalfi. No- make it Paris, definitely Paris. We can always take a train to Dijon or Amalfi

I'd buy a ranch near Fredricksberg, TX myself. Its may not sound as great as Malibu, but the area is accessible from almost anywhere, be it 281 from San Antonio, 290 from Austin, and so forth.

I don't even know. I can't decide where to go on vacation, let alone where to buy a vacation home.

I love Colorado. Maybe Boulder? Need to ride, hike, and play in non-humid air. Boulder is a lot like Madison, but with mountains. Need a good live music scene too.
I'd probably like a 2nd place on a beach somewhere warm. Not sure where, though.

I get plenty of sun, surf, hiking and beautiful outdoorsy things where I live. I want a vacation home in Tokyo or New York City.

Cebu, in the Philippines near the beach. My brother lives there and it's beautiful and cheap!

No restraints on time or money? Hmm... definitely something with water and steep climbs in close proximity. And temperate weather year round. (I could get another vacation home at some great high mountain location. Like Aspen or somewhere in the Alps or something like that.) Monte Carlo? Somewhere in Hawaii? I don't know. I'll be sure to post a poll on Foo if I find myself with enough money for this to become a real concern.

Ocean beach, hopefully with mountains and plenty of stocked streams close by.

One vacation home. IMpossible. I'd like to have modest homes at.
Kauai, Carpentria, Calif., Copper Harbor, Mich., Collioure, France.
Two locations would be for Scuba, three would be for cycling. .

I'm with Linux. I already live there.

The only thing I'd do different, if money were no object, is build a big garage/barn on about 2-5 acres with a small house attached.
