So just how offputting is my nick?

Just a curiosity. Wondering if I'm offending people in the shadows.

abortions arent funny. im pro-choice, and i find no humor in abortions.....i actually get sad every time i see a post from you because i have to look at your extremely offensive name.....and really, coming from a girl who chose bikingMILF as her uber-politically correct user name, i hope you can see im no prude, and i dont get offended easily. just goes back to the fact that abortions really arent funny. i was pretty shocked that the board peeps let you sign up with that name, actually.

To be honest, when I first saw your name on a post, I figured you'd be a troll of some variety. Since that has turned out to not be the case, I don't mind. It is a really over-the-top name, of course, but it doesn't bother me much.

not a name I would choose, but I know that my posts rub many people the wrong way. We all gotta live together. Not gonna get worked up over a name. Now when it comes to zombies, or beef jerky, if we don't see eye to eye, it could get ugly.

I'm with MILF, I have a pretty broad base of what I find acceptable places to go (BTW MILF's is outrageously unique, kudos) I was a bit put off with yours at first, figuring on the troll aspect as well. It hasn't shown, that's cool. But to see you post is like nails on a chalkboard. But I figured to each they're own, live and let live and all that. But you asked and I'm tellin'.

Not really, but I'm curious as to the meaning behind the name you chose.

Perhaps we need a "Most Offensive Nick Possible?" thread. I would say that it would go downhill fast, but if it starts off at the bottom of the hill, where's it going to go?

I'm pretty hard to offend, and I definitely don't bow to the altar of political correctness, but... I do think the name is in poor taste. It's a pretty violent image, and seems to make light of ending a life. (Note - I'm not trying to turn this in to a P & R debate, that's just my opinion.) The first time I saw the name, I checked the profile to see how many posts you had made. I was wondering if you were some newbie troll, soon to be banned.

Having said all that, I'm not the type to push my ideals and ideas on other people. I wouldn't have volunteered those ideas without being asked, and I do respect freedom of speech even when I don't agree with what's being said.

Story behind using this handle is that the one I normally use was taken, so I had to choose another. Abortionpunch is a nickname I picked up playing an online game a while back for punching people rather than using weapons. Further developed by postulating how abortions were performed back in the day. It's completely unrelated to my views on anything, though it does make me smile at how ridiculous it is.
