okaaayy..

So.. interesting night it's been. I got into a verbal confrontation at work and then was assulted by a co-worker/ex-gf ..whom then said she was going to call her 'maffi ppl' , but when I dared her to do just that, she put down the phone and started to try and tell me that these ppl had the ''file'' of my ex-gf, asked me if I wanted to see it. I said 'sure' -to which she replied that she didn't have it at work.. and then she cussed me some more and hit me with fists clenched.. and that's when I called the police (after I went downstairs).. She since left (after the police left) and now I'm getting 'unknown number' phone calls of a man screaming and then laughing hysterically.. (Sorry, I had to wait until my boss left to finish the story).

What a night..

SciFi gets my vote if the people at Animal Planet are not interested.

Hey folks, I'm still alive.

I kept on getting those phone calls on my cell yesterday of that schitzo throaty gibberish yelling.. I think it's a recording or a sample from a soundbite from a movie or something. My ex-gf also recieved one of these calls on her cell phone (I guess she did have her number after all).. and it kind of freaked her out. It was all I could to calm her down.. she wanted to use her haitian 'friends' to find a way to get back at this woman for not leaving her alone, and to 'protect' her mum and her brother. Finally I managed to talk her out of doing that and I thank God for this.. becz it would only have stirred the pot. And btw, I come home after work yesterday to find every single thing I had ever given this woman on my kitchen table.. somehow she let herself into my apt between 3am and 7 am yesterday before I got back from work and my room mates claim they didn't let her in. Haha, anyways I have the feeling it's over now.. what a fiasco.

Ya think?

I say you still prepare that obituary. If she can get into your apartment at will, your safety is pretty much at her mercy.

Yeah.. my 'feelings' are not always a good predictor of things. I was thinking that the phone calls would not have continued past yesterday.. however today I recieved two such calls from 'unknown number' which I didn't answer. But yesterday I recorded the screaming sounds on microcassette by using the 'speaker phone' on my cell -so next time they call I'm going to play it back at them.. whomever 'them' is.

And I'm spending the night at my friends house so I am getting good sleep atleast.. however today when I went home to shower I accidently locked myself out of my room and freaked out for a moment thinking that somebody had locked themselves in my room while I was in the shower, but it turned out to be a false alarm. ..Also, I called my boss to have him talk to her boss to see if he'll threaten her with changing her status to 'non-rehirable' if this **** keeps up.. I think if her boss threatens this then it should make it stop. I'm really not that worried, cuz if anything happen to me it should be pretty obvious who done it, right? Yeah, I think so..

Turn it over to the police, Red. Phone harrassment is illegl. Keep a log of time and date and they can compare the phone records. Law enforcement can also override the *67 that yields "unknown number" and get the number in most cases, unless they are using a Skype phone.

Yes, I am going to do this if it goes on much longer.. I think she probably wants me to think it's her ''maffia connections'' who are making the calls, but in reality I believe it's probably more likely her elder brothers, who basically worship her.. I am going to give it a day or two to see if it de-esculates before I take any police measures. Infact the only reason I called the police on her in the first place was to make the point that I really didn't believe her lies and that she was full of ****. She once told me that one time her husband got upset and threw a television set when she refused him sex, after which he himself called the police because he thought he was 'out of control' ..She said that her 'maffia friends' (who supposedly had connections inside the police dept) found out about the domestic insident at her house and offered to 'take care' of her husband for her.. So, me calling the police was one way of showing her that I didn't believe this (or any of her other stories and twisted fabrications) one bit.

Maybe it's just because the 'family' connections I know are old-school, but the mafia doesn't fart around with things like gibberish phone harrassment and/or leaving all your former belongings on your kitchen table.
If you came home and all your old possessions were on the kitchen table and your house was on fire... then maybe I'd consider that she's got family ties.

As for someone getting into your place: Re-core the locks, bar-block the sliding windows, and get a doorknob-to-floor prop bar to keep someone from kicking in the deadbolt. (and maybe break their ankle if they try to.)
A simple break-beam triggered alarm is also a good investment, and fairly inexpensive. So is a climbing axe. (Better swing speed and damage than a baseball bat.)
