Relationship question(shaddup you guys)

Just curious, is just "liking" someone enough to have a relationship with them? I mean, what if there are 2 people and one really is infatuated with the other, and the other person is just... like yea I like you, you're cool, it's fun to hang with you, but I'm I mean uhh he or could be a she just "likes" the other person for now, and needs more time to "feel out" Na'mean? Should this person just dive in and go for it? or wait till they know the feelings are stronger?

Serious posts only, and when I say serious posts I really mean go ahead and ruin my thread.

Hmmmm...that's a hard question. A few years back I chose to dive into something and I got hurt, so now I would advise stay "just friends" until you know the feelings are fairly mutual.

Now for my serious response.

It depends on both people involved.

Just 'liking' is a good enough reason to get into a relationship, but there are things to consider before doing so.
1. If the other person really is infatuated or more, you should let them know up front.
2. Do you really think theres a chance the feelings could grow stronger, if yes, go for it, if no, just try and make them F*** buddies instead, and once again, let them know up front.
3. Is it worth the risk of possibly loosing them as a friend to try out the relationship?

Already have, I mean hypothetically "he" already has.

I guess the question is, go for it and risk someone being hurt? or waiting and seeing what happens.

If by i"nfatuated", you mean has the object of desire dressed in a gimp suit, locked in a trunk, and by "likes" you mean will say anything, including kill, to get out of the gimp suit and the trunk, then I cannot answer, as I feel anything I say could be self incriminating.

I say dive right in. Especially if you're really hot for him/her. And especially if you want to get your heart ripped out of your chest and stomped as flat as a pancake. It's even better if you work with him/her, because then you get to hang around while he/she goes on to his/her next conquest, and you get to see that poor bastidge follow her around like a puppy, looking for the least little bit of acknowledgment. A smile. A nod of approval. Anything. And does he get it? NO! She spurns him, too! Dumps him like a piece of used jet trash.

The up-side is that you could end up with a real good drinking buddy! Oh wait, you don't drink.

Never mind. Good luck with that, though.

Dive in? That could be very messy and painful.

Stick a toe in first and swirl it around...if the "water" is "fine" then ease on in. Be sure to wear a "life jacket".

Better men have been lost in less treacherous conditions.

Godspeed!

And by that I mean slow your roll homie.

Definitely take the smooth and slow approach. If you continue to hang out and things come out of it, then great. If it's rushed then once the magic's gone, you're stuck it a crappy relationship.

I'm in the same boat

Slow and steady. Slow. and. steady.

Can you post a pic of the guy you are talking about Jon? Might help us tell you your next move.

I'm totally into the whole "caveman/woman" look. So, I was thinking I should totally court her. I hear cavemen like long walks on the beach, whatcha thunk?

Thank you Zen masta pimp.

The question is, once you're in a relationship with someone, it isn't as easy as 1,2,3 to break up once you realize it isn't right for you is it?

Ref red house's threads.

Is your hair long enough to date a caveman? Dating them involves getting clubbed in the head and dragged into a cave, if the cartoons are correct.

If you're considering the difficulties of an exit strategy before the relationship begins, it's probably best that it doesn't.
