    Question + stories

Garageband. For any of you that don't know, it's a program on Mac OSX where you make music and and stuff from loops that're in it. I was screwing around with it in Computer today (network was down so we couldn't do work) and was suprised. It was actually pretty sweet :yup: So, anyone know of something similar for Windows? I'd love to have it.

Story one: Leaving school and heading for the bus I kinda witnessed an interesting fight. A teacher had a kid pinned to the ground. Wonder how this'll play out

Later, after the bus part, I was on my bike. As I'm hauling ass past one of my friends he decides it'd be pretty sweet to throw is bag full of books at me. Keep in mind here I'm on the shoulder of a busy road about 100 feet from a 4-way intersection with another busy road. Thank God his aim sucks. If he had thrown it a fraction of a second earlier it would have nailed my front tire and I woulda been a freaking projectile. Jackass. Instead he hit the frame just in front of the pedals. It pushed my over about a foot and I ran his stuff over, not much else went on

If he would have scratched your paint, it would have been allowable to smack him....

If I had gone down, my foot would have connected to his pants like none other.

    That's allowable, right?

Yes, there are many music recording and sequencing programs for windows. Unfortunately, most of them are not cheap, and most are not as easy to use as garageband (though many are far more powerful). If you want free software, search for Audacity, Kristal, or Reaper. If you want to buy, I would tell you that the closest you'll get to garageband in terms of ease of use is probably Tracktion. It's also relatively affordable. If you want a more full-featured recording software, Cubase and ProTools are two of the leading recording programs.

Your story causes me to question your definition of the word "friend."
