she was too bare for the air

What is the world coming too when we are punishing women for skimpy clothing?

The best part was, if you caught the interview on the Today Show as it happened, they had to blur out her crotch as she sat down, due to her skirt not covering her enough.

Was that only on TV as it happened? I just watched the today show video on that link and I didn't see anything blurred out.

I did not see it myself. But I have heard reference of it on a few threads discussing her.

Even the msnbc thread off the article has someone mentioning it

As well as seeing a "shot" when she sat down on the show, she had to pull her top down to cover the top of her skirt on the show.

Her skirt was a bit small but both my wife and I thought that SW was over the top for trying to get her off the plane. I have seen much worse on flights before. The real issue is one person on the flight complained about her and they decided she should be removed. After discussion she was allowed to remain as long she covered up better. So one person decides? Why not take a vote?

The male steward who freaked out apparently saw a quick snatch too. Why did it bother him so much?

If it's a female kind of appointment, it probably doesn't really matter what she's wearing.

Although I wouldn't wear what she did, I don't see a problem with the outfit, and Southwest was out of line. People need to grow thicker skin.

I agree with April.

People are too often too weird about other people's clothing. For example, there is a knucleheaded city councilman doing his part to retain Atlanta's laughing stock status with legislation to make it illegal to wear outerwear that doesn't completely hide your underwear. What a dope. But the sad part is that he isn't universally jeered for it. There are plenty of people who aren't even ashamed to say they agree with him!

she might not have been wearing those plain white panties the day of the flight....who knows...maybe she didn't have any on at all, in that case i could understand it.

If that's what you want to wear, why shouldn't you be allowed?

This thread begs the question .... what do ACTUAL prostitutes wear to differentiate themselves these days from high school (in this case College) girls?

Ah, I see the problem...you lack confidence in your appearance, and you fear that people will be so offended that they'd rescind the freedom to dress as you please once they see you do it. Buck up, fella. How awful could it be?

Apparently SW doesn't fly out of Miami.

I think that airport gives discounts if you don't wear a bra and panties.

Yawn. Nudity---big deal. I think "Keith" is hiding a jealous "Keisha" on the inside.

I enjoyed the vid. Thanks, Matt L. That will get you up in the morning!

Nah it's more of "I'll let a hot girl do it" thing. It's not really uncommon to hear that they'd allow this kind of dress on her, but sneer "cover that **** up" to some girl thats 350lbs wearing the same thing in the same paragraph.

Some people are genuine on their want to have a freedom to choose what to wear, some people are just having a knee jerk reaction to how they'd feel if they took the eye candy off the flight.

That and I just wanna feel pretty in a short skirt D:

That's a good point. Yes, I think you are quite right about how some people feel about freedom for the other..."let them do as they please, as long as I like it."

Also, about wanting to feel pretty in a short skirt...thanks; you made me laugh out loud.
