Should bidets be required in all USA toilet facilities?

Bidets are great 50 miles into a century! Why don’t we see them more often in the USA? Should a law be passed to that effect?

    Benefits
    • Less risk of having the ER doc talk to your mom about why her laundry doesn’t remove stains well plus the fact you don’t where clean undies when you go out
    • Less organic material flo-through to your saddle and kit during extended riding equals more time between defunkifying maintenance of said saddle and kit
    • Less use of bleach when doing laundry equals less load on your local water treatment plant and a better environment impact overall
    • Less or no use of toilet paper saving several trees or rain forest and maintaining habitat for the spotted owl
    • Less load on your sewer or septic due to less toilet paper clogging the system
    • More spendable income by doubling or tripling the usable life or your undies given they would no longer suffer embarrassing stains or stripes or corrosion requiring disposal or repair
    • Potential to reduce showering requirements for people who shower daily or more than daily when really they only needed to wash their naughty bits
    • Reduced infections and improved health of frequently festering nooks and crannies
    • Many benefits magnify for Foosters who likely don’t wear undies to begin with

    Costs
    • Uses more floor space unless you have a combo toilet/bidet
    • Additional fixture and plumbing cost in the range of about $75 to $5000

I'd love to see the bidet gain in popularity in the US, but I don't see it happening. Legislation has already left us with low-flow toilets that don't work worth a damn, and low-flow shower heads that can barely get a person wet. Do you really think they'll force the use of something so "wasteful" (ignoring how wasteful low-flow toilets and shower heads end up being)?

+1 on the Bidet, it is very simple to rig a combo unit. A 2 outlet valve and a piece of 1/4" copper tubing.

It would be very nice to have bidets, but I won't hold my breath.
