Whoa -- weird. I didn't realise I'd actually posted something . XP at work is so unpleasant... fortunately, I have my Mac .

It ain't just XP at work...

I don't even say that as some random Microsoft snipe. I could (and do) stand Windows 2000. But every time I've had the displeasure of using XP, it's driven me up the wall, and made me want to pull my hair out with one hand while smashing things with the hammer in my other hand.

I've decided that in order to maintain my last, dangling threads of sanity, I will not use Vista. To this day, I've never even so much as glanced at the interface, and I can only hope it stays that way.

BSOD usually hints at hardware trouble, commonly bad RAM.

It can be a lot of other things, including drivers and damaged files.

Look up the error given at the BSOD, should have a fix.

I haven't had a BSOD in years... Stable XP installations are nice to have.

WinXP ran just fine on my lap top. Never ever had a problem... that is till it totally just died. At least it waited for one big final event rather then drawn out bsod's. It wasn't the hardware either because the same lap top has been running Ubuntu for months now. All in all I think XP works out pretty well especially in our enterprise environment. Vista? Noooooo waaaaay!

I only had this issue due to bad RAM, I've heard of other people having issues due to conflicting drivers.
