Dang Max. How many baseball cards do you have hitting your spokes??

And why do you let your sister ride without a helmet?

    Because.
And its the wind, no baseball cards. And I'm not wearing a helmet either.

It was a leisurly ride, we don't need helmets at 9 MPH

You're bad at keeping the bars steady.

He just needs practice. Steadiness will come.

(Seriously, Max, keep practicing. I had to take pain medication today and your vid made me feel queasy so I couldn't finish watching it.)

I think the "cards in the spokes" is from vibrations from the road - you need to put some kind of foam between your aerobar setup and your camcorder. Same thing over the mic to cut down on the wind noise - shouldn't affect the voice recording too much but will cut down on the roar.

Oh, and riding a bit faster is more stable. I prefer watching helmet mounted cams because they don't vibrate as much, but that is normally with the lipstick cameras, not a full camcorder.

Anyway, cool to see video of where people ride - I want to do the same sometime.

Wear a helmet, Max. If you fall over at ANY speed and hit your head first, gravity will ensure that you hit the pavement at double digit speeds.
If you notice this notice then you will notice that this notice is not worth noticing.

yup - Have a friend recovering from a test ride down his street, his baseball cap didn't help him - he woke up still clipped in bike, big cut on head -- and didn't know where or who he was. He got back on bike and wandered down the street till he found someone - so he could give him his license so they could direct him back to his house. Went to doctors, had concussion - and he still doesn't remember that time period!

At 0mph you need a helmet. Try dropping a watermelon from a height of 3 feet, and you'll see why.
