Local LBS

I keep reading in all of these threads where people go to their "local" LBS. What's a local lbs? Is that like, REALLY local or what?

It's no worse than people who talk about their NIC Card, PIN Number, and all that jazz. And That too ^^^

Which, for the record, are among the most annoying phrases to be uttered by the mouths of mortals.

My personal fave -- the nominalized form of Bluetooth(R) to refer to a wireless Bluetooth-enabled earpiece or headset. Example of Usage: "I forgot to charge my blue tooth," or, "John is wearing his blue tooth."

That may very well be more annoying than Bluetooth headsets themselves.

Actually I understand the 'local lbs' aspect. I have probably a dozen or so shops in a 25 mile radius, I also have a shop within walking distance of my house. To me they are all my LBS, tho the one in town is my 'local lbs'

May I add tuna fish?

Ever seen a tuna bear?

It's a baby puppy, many people use them everyday

Well, I suppose you could call it your local BS - which in some cases might actually be appropriate...

I think using "local lbs" is very similar to something I do frequently.

I often find myself making an obscene hand gesture and screaming the verbal equivalent of said hand sign at the same time.

Maybe, in this case, the 'lbs' stands for pounds.

Hmmm, that changes things
