Ban "More than a feeling"?

Goodwill had the radio on today, and I started wondering if there are certain boomer-area rock songs that have been played enough already. What would you ban? My short list:

Anything by Boston, it all sounds the same, and Smells Like Teen Spirit did it better anyway.
"Jack and Diane."--The Artist Formerly Known as John Cougar
Breakfast in America, the whole album.

I'd ban everything that is played on the radio.

For the second time today, nobody is kidding you. Bike Forums is not a stand up special.

If I had to chose one, I'd ban anything by Cher. Generally I agree with fuzzbox. Radio sucks.

I guess I'm talking about songs that might have been full of life back in the day but now are just worn out and deserve to have the plug pulled. Not talking about songs that still rock like Satisfaction or Whole Lotta Love, more like feeble stuff like Hot Blooded or anything by the Beatles.

When my wife and I were courting we got into a email bad song contest. I liked everything she sent

I started it by sending Convoy by CW McCall

She retaliated with

Disco Tex - Get dancing
Pop Music - Marcus
Philosophy Of The World - The shags
Jingle bells- The singing dogs
and much more
I loved then all and loved her more untill.........

Albert Morris - Feelings

Don't ban the Beatles! I, for one, think we would all benefit from more "Helter Skelter".

Although they are a tad soft, I do like Boston. Certainly no reason to ban them. And I've always liked the music Styx makes. Their isn't much to compare it to. And at least around here, nobody plays it very much anymore.

BOSTON ROCKS! I don't care if I'm showing my age, just saw Van Halen last night with David Lee and they sounded great! David can still belt it out, maybe just not as high. Eddie and Alex are awesome! Eddie's son Wolfgang was on bass and played great. ROCK ON! Late 70's, early 80's rules!

Theres only one Beatles song that shouldnt be banned, it should be unmade. The song is "You Like Me Too Much". Every other Beatles song still rocks.

I'm totally with you on Boston and entire Breakfast in America album. I'm still cool with "Jack and Diane" though....I still can't get over the nostalgic feelings that song brings back.

Men at Work - Who can it be knocking at my door?
Anything by U2 other than Joshua Tree album.
Anything by REM
Murray Head - One Night in Bangkok (Every 80s station plays it CONSTANTLY thinking they are unique)

God there are a few things about living near UGA that just really sux.
I'd rather sit through a preformance of Yoko Ono cleaning a black board with a metal grinder than have to endure that drunken chant.

Early U2 still played on radio has aged pretty well, I think. New Year's Day and Sunday Bloody Sunday still feel raw and charged. I agree on REM, KT, except the anthem Losing My Religion which can still mesmerize me on the interstate when I'm flipping the dial. Ooooooh, life.
