What is wrong with fresh air?

Holy crap! I declare war! What is wrong with fresh air? Everywhere i go people have their car windows rolled up. Here at the office i just went and opened all of the doors and the secretary looked at me like i was crazy.
It's air people! Breathe it!

It also happens to be pristine outside with the temp around 70F and bright sunshine.

I've had people call me weirdo for preferring opening windows in car over using a/c. I don't get it....who wouldn't want fresh outside air over chemically cooled air? Unless there is some serious stinkage going on....I'll take fresh air any day that temps are reasonable.

I normally have my bedroom window open year round. I'm outside too much to be stuffed in a house (no matter how cold it is outside) for more than a day with the windows shut. Gets stuffy.

As it is my roommates had the heat on the other night (got into the low 40's), I have my heat off and window open. Just have to remember to stuff something under the door cause I got reprimanded

My wife is this way. I suppose it is a hair thing but the only time the AC isn't on in her car, is when the heater is on. Drives me nutz!

it has to be dissolved in water first before my respiratory organs can process it. if I roll down the windows in my car, the water leaks out and I suffocate. not sure about everybody else.

Allergies. My windows MUST be closed or I can't breathe, especially spring and fall. I can breathe while on my bicycle, because my pulse is elevated and my allergies just magically disappear. Stop riding and they come back in full force in less than 30 minutes.

+1... I never use my a/c. Might as well take it out, but I always get the "my hair is going to get all over the place and get messed up" from the passenger seat.
Our dorm window would always be open if it wasn't for my roommate turning the place into a cave every chance he gets.

It's that NPR show that Terry Gross hosts. Used to come on WABE at 4:00, don't know when it's broadcasted now.

"Fresh Air" was one of the best songs Quicksilver Messenger Service put out. I agree that more people should be exposed to it.

With my old car, generally I'd leave all four windows rolled down through the entirety of summer. Day and night. It was so nice to not sit down in a furnace. The air conditioner didn't work, but after a while, I didn't miss it. Upside of having an outwardly crappy car that no one would bother stealing.

I leave my bedroom window open pretty much all of the time, too.

No, it's an abbreviation for Fresh Prince of Bel-Aire. Terry Gross was on that one, too, I think.

Don't tell me you let outside air in. Are you crazy man? There are over 6 billion people breathing and farting into that air, not including all the animals. It's disgusting!

At least the office air is conditioned. mmmhhh airconditioning.
