    Computer program question

What is the best program to create a photo slide show with transition effects, the ability to be set to music, and render the final version onto a dvd?

    Thanks

I did some heavy research on this back in 2003 and chose a program (which I still have somewhere). I can't think of the name of it at the moment....it worked decently well, but I wouldn't swear its still the best 4 years later (especially since I never hear anybody mention it).

Sounds like the way me and some friends would make funny movies back in high school.

Windows Movie Maker if you have Windows XP.

You'll still need to have a program to convert a WMV to MPEG2 with the necessary DVD files and burn the DVD-R.

You can't beat this one. It's free and easy. I've made a lot of DVD's for groups etc. and even made some money doing this. As mentioned you need encoding and authoring software to make the actual DVD.

Holy **** 11 posts and some sarcastic mac user didn't come in and say

    Mac...

thats awesome. Sorry I came into this thread betting with myself how long it would take. I don't know the answer, I have a premade flash program I made eons ago that pulls the names of the pics from a text file and shows the pics I program into it.
