When you reconsider a memory

I know there is a term for this, does anybody know it???

Say something happened to you at age 10, but you didn't think much of it then. 20 years go by and for some reason, something reminds you of whatever happened at age 10. The experience is different now that you're 20 years wiser. You realize significance that you couldn't have realized at age 10.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Experiential reassessment of memory.

Yeah. Considering your age i'd say it is: impossible.

Well,
You can be any age to reassess a memory. I understand the logic behind your assumption by the way. However, this is for a paper about Mary Karr's memoir.

If you were in politics, I think they'd call it "flip flopping."

And if you were in academia, they'd call in intellectual growth.

Yep. Politics is about as far from academia as you can get. The stupidity is simply mind-boggling.
