The purpose of deletion is to remove something.

Query:

If 'deletion' is to remove something

is 'letion' putting something in?

Crazy language.

when you delete a post you just made, there is a box to type a
reason for deletion. perhaps you never tried to delete one of your own posts.

I do it all the time 'cuz my head is a mess of bad wiring

maybe it is an admin box ? maybe a cat is eating my brain at night ?

Well, I can pull up the audit trail on a thread and see what you posted and then deleted. Moderator powers, don't ya know

It allows you to change your mind and remove something really stupid that might earn you a vacation

yep...I delete lots of posts...but never fill in the reason.
The actual post is probably not deleted from the server, just tagged so as not to be displayed. I imagine that whatever information you supply in that little box can be compiled by sysadmin types and reported on.

From now on, I'll put:

Cause I'm cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs

as my reason for deletion.

I forgot what forum I used "because it put the lotion on it's skin" as the reason for deletion.
