I'm pretty sure there are people out there who consider rubber hoses, the wheel, and thumbscrews "discipline plans".

For the rest of us, its known by another word: Torture.

Where do these people come from? Seems like an endless production of the worst, out there.

So sad. This story made me think of one I read last week.

And for these people, it would be absolutely appropriate... sometimes, an eye for an eye seems to be the best option.

Kids having kids and no positive parental role models. They are just clueless on what to do when a baby cries, or does not do what they want. Maybe they were disciplined with a belt by their parents and think this is how you handle these things. It happens way too much these days and breaks your heart.

The only slightly good thing about this, is that it happened in Texas, where the death penalty is used, and used often.

I can't read it or watch stuff like this on the news. It hurts my heart to hear my daughter cry when I send her to bed early. I could not imagine how heartless and lifeless a human would have to be to do such things. My stomach aches.

It is interesting how my emotions have changed toward this sort of thing. Before having my own children, I would have dismissed this and went on. Now that I have 2 children of my own and being there every step of the way, I really do get sick inside when I read this stuff. Children have no choice but trust completely in the people that brought them into the world, any violation of that trust is, well I can't think of a word harsh enough.

We need less government and more freedom......see it really works!!!!

War will lead to peace in Iraq...Iran too......see it's just like Fox says!

Gay marriage leads to break down of families....Maybe this is why this family is so troubled.

This has been a SAD 7 years!!!!!

No, Rove Hannity, Dobson, Robertson, and Norquist all get their share of fault here.

Yes, except from what I understand, they're charging them only with "Harming a child" which carries the same penalty as Murder except the death penalty (5-99 years according to the report I saw).

That's not harsh enough. Unless the other inmates make these two their "special project".
