Honest or just mean?

A woman who works for The Tallahassee Democrat writes a blog that is posted on the newspaper's Web site. The blog is also printed in the newspaper.

She recently attended a wedding and when she came back she posted this blog.

In the original blog she included photos of the wedding and enough information to identify the bride who runs a branch of a social service group in Tampa. That information has been removed from the blog.

She thinks she is being funny and honest. What do you think?

Why do I get the feeling that if someone else was "funny and honest" about HERr wedding, she wouldn't be such a happy camper?

This goes to show you that people will write about anything. The saddest thing about this is the amount of people that will believe in her perspective.

Some people don't have enough sense to engage their thinking skills as they read. For this, I blame the school system, now that I am no longer a part of it.

Ya know. If these two have a history, I can see how she'd take the opportunity to take a few swipes at her expense. Having said that, I do hate a "journalist" who offends merely for the sake of offending.

Tasteless, cruel and pointless. I'd rather go to a Mormon wedding where everything went wrong than any event with the <explicitive deleted. who writes this blog.

BTW the only reason I picked Mormon is it means no booze to dull the pain.

what a beyotch.

she is immature and too stupid to know the line between "brutally Honest" and tastelessly mean". the paper should not be publishing columns like these.

She may or may not have been honest but she certainly was being mean. It was totally unnecessary and I would wonder about a paper that would publish such garbage. Of course I already wonder about most forms of news media, it would only be adding to an already long list.

I must say that I agree with the comments here. It is a sad women who attempts to call her poor taste a truth when it is quite subjective. This is more of a self-reflective blog methinks.

She made some nice observations, I laughed at the Splitsville business. The schtick was a little feeble, but it's just a blog ferchristsake.

I do think including pix or identifying the couple crosses into tacky.

I also laughed because it reminded me of awkward weddings I've attended. Of course rule number one is no guests are supposed to mention how awkward the wedding was. I probably would have busted a move to Push It with this catty woman.
