Ideas for romantic engraving.

I'm giving my GF a ring and I have the option of putting an engraving on the inside and/or the outside.

I can't decide what to say.

I don't want to use the word love, because I can't just yet go and use that word.

I want something that will be romantic, but not make her think I'm in lovce with her, yet will still be true whether we fall in love, or only are friends, or end up getting married!

Ideas, I'm having troubles here.

I can think of plenty of love quotes, but none that mean I care for her without implying or saying the L word.

You are giving her a ring but don't love her. Wow, you're either really brave or really foolish.

As for the engraving, just let the ring speak for itself.....

Can't figure it out? Then don't get it engraved! Let the ring speak for itself.

Or you could always put a line from a poem on there...Maya Angelou always works well. ee cummings, not so much.

Doolally, I freely admit I have odd taste. But I feel they're both very good and have their romantic moments.

May I submit this as evidence?

I also like. It would have to be a big ring, though.

Reminds me of Molly Bloom.

So... giving a person a ring as a gift is a no no if you don't love them?

Exactly, go for earrings or a necklace.

Edit: Giving rings are usually for promises, engagements, marriages.

Fuzzbox is right, rings speak of longterm commitment.

Consider matching tatoos instead.

How about something like this http://www.sapphirelane.com/ANAM%20CARA%20RING.htm

Or, there are other ideas on that site as well.

She's now going to expect a certain ring, and it won't be there.

Woah! You have really screwed yourself Jon.

Everyone knows rings are given to celebrate pregnancy and the wedding that has to happen before the bride starts to show a tummy lump.

Thats the only time giving a ring is appropriate.
