    Tools ... of the trade

No flying brooms in this bedroom Was looking for something last night and had all my stuff out so ...

Essential oils, different colored candles, gem stones ... a rather lively fishing tackle box!

And no that is not pot , I know what yer thinking --- those are some of my herbs/plants - sage and ceder, St. John's Wart etc.

Some odds & ends, crystals, amber rings, amulets, etc.

And of course any self respecting witch has to have ...

And a couple of my knives, used in ritual

And just for the hell of it, some of my many pewter/silver fairies I collect. And all my other stuff in storage, including a small library of spell books, etc.

What gems do you have? I see a quartz crystal in that picture, what might be topaz, what might be citrine

I used to have a bunch of gems, and I think I'm going to go for more.

Have several -- (I make jewelry and stuff on the side too) citrine, labradorite, amber (black, green and cherry red), cornelian, garnet, lapis lazuli, hematite, all sorts. Made my ex a dream catcher and decorated it with all sorts of gemstones ---- because they were not only "pretty" but in the wiccan world they also contain "powers" (amber, labradorite and hematite - good examples of protective qualities). I also make amulets.

BUT I forgot - the essential item

Soes, I have to ask, because I've worked for some of these people for years and they've never answered this. What do people do with these gems?

I ususally summon Asian demons that can do backflips and shoot fireballs.

To seriously answer your question, different things. Many new agey spiritual types get them, because each one does a certain thing. Some are healing, some capture bad energies and negative thoughts, some give you positive energy.

I have them, because I'm a geek and I like these things.
