    Rofl @ Dolphins.

    They should just quit.

Look at how much their first win means to them, in spite of their 1-13 record.

    Uninstall now.
    Ten tenths.

As a die hard Dolphin fan I am disappointed. I wanted this to be our second perfect season. The nerve of those guys.

Darn. I was hoping this would be a thread with links to funny vids of dolphins playing or something.

I just hope they don't win any more. As a fan I want to see some major changes made and if they start getting hope they might not be as inclined to make them.

I want Huizenga to go take a running jump at a garbage truck, preferably on off his own.

Given the "unique" nature of NFL and the draft system what's the usual turn around of teams that hit rock bottom? 5 - 10 years to playoffs/superbowl or is it longer than that?
    shameless POWERCRANK plug
Recommended reading for all cyclists - Cyclecraft - Effective Cycling
Condor Cycles - quite possibly the best bike shop in London
Don't run red lights, wear a helmet, use hand signals, get some cycle lights(front and rear) and, FFS, don't run red lights!

Depends, if you are the Bills it is probably about as long as to the next iceage...

[QUOTE= in spite of their 1-13 record.

    [/QUOTE]

The 1969 Bears went 1-13 (14 game season), and lost a coin flip with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the number 1 pick in the draft. It was some guy named Terry Bradshaw. The Bears ended up with Jack Sh*t.

The "You never know what's going to happen from year to year" factor is what keeps the NFL exciting. #1 playoff seeded team loses during a Division playoff game at home - 2006 Chargers. A wildcard team can end up winning the superbowl - 2000 Ravens. Quarterbacks such Brett Favre and John Elway have legendary seasons beyond the time they were expected to retire. And despite the seeming invincible domination of this year's Patriots, they are far from dominant in terms of historic past teams.

The most dominant were the Cleveland Browns who made it to the championship game (Superbowl of it's day) 10 years in a row, 11 of their first 12 seasons as a team, winning their first 5, and 7 total, followed by 4 more title game appearances in 6 years during the 60's (winning one) with Jim Brown. Their first championship winning season in 1945 was their first year in existence. In 1948 they were the first professional football team to go undefeated on through to the championship. Highlights of those early years include a 29 game unbeaten streak (included two ties), and losing just 4 games in 4 years. That whole story makes for a great NFL history read.
