Dan Fogelberg seemed to be the soundtrack of my life from
    1972 thru the 1980's. Seems I could always find a Fogelberg song/album
to fit what ever I was doing. His music was very significant to me back then.

It's really a shame, Prostate cancer is probably the most treatable form of Cancer
and one of the most easily detectable. In this day and age no one should die from
    Prostate cancer.
Guys, along with the PSA test get a prostate exam, uncomfortable to be sure, but it just might
    save your life

Strange, my wife just told me last week that she wanted a Dan Fogelberg CD for Christmas.

My girlfriend circa 1978 went to Wellesley College. Every single girl in her dorm had a copy of that Fogelberg/Weisberg Twin Sons Of Different Mothers album. Drove me batschidt.

She actually asked for a Dan Fogelberg wax cylinder for the Victrola. I translated for her. She is very old school.

The Reach was another of his songs I really liked. It was about lobster fishing around Deer Isle Maine (Eggamogin Reach).

Certainly did some of my best work with coeds listening to Dan.

My now 20-something neighbor borrowed all my Dan Fogelberg CDs back in '96 - haven't seen or heard them since.... and I just lent her my camera.... OMG!

My only Fogelberg recordings are those new-fangled black vinyl discs. I think I will drop a hint to my sons that some of those new high-tech CD thingies of Dan's music might be excellent Christmas gifts.

Really? That bridge they have there looks like something to avoid when it's icy in the winter.

I've had a colonoscopy and a prostate exam and I found neither to be all that uncomfortable...cancer, I think would be really uncomfortable...

Truly sad. In my opinion, his best stuff was the material he did before his hits. "To the Morning", "Looking for a Lady" and "More Than Ever" among others. Oh, and "There's a Place in the World for a Gambler".

    So long Dan.

    Daredevil,
first 2 albums are my favourites also, I think "Stars" and "Be On Your Way" were some of the best songs on 1st album.
Also like "Last Nail", "Aspen/These Days", "Old Tennessee" from Captured Angel.

Oh, indeed, this is so true. I actually bought a second "home free" because I knew I'd wear out the first. It may well still be in shrink wrap.....

You're gonna want to get that off of there. It could warp the album. Then again, if it was gonna warp it would've by now, eh? Duh.

I heard on the way to the hospital this morning for x-rays. I spent most of the hour lying there signing Same Old Lang Syne and Heart Hotels in my head. Many of my favorite songs are his and I always hoped I might get to see him one day. I'm very sad. Thanks Dan and rest in much peace.
