Not terrible but one thing upset me.

I was going to buy hardwood floors for a few rooms in our house. My wife wanted them. So when we got the estimate KAPOW!!! over $1000 more than we expected. We were upset.

But, I prayed. (Yes, I really did. Why lie about it)

Got a phone call yesterday and they were willing to work with us if we still wanted them. After a while of negotiations - KAPOW!!! They knocked almost $1000 off their estimate. We are going today to schedule the installation.

Well, I got a bunch of cookbooks that include recipes that use ingredients that I cringe to think about, a set of religious books from a faith that I have long since left behind, and to top it all off I got a bunch of survival to help me along my way when the world comes to an end. But, I also got some really cute snowboarding pants. Not a bad year, I suppose.

I'm guessing that Joe got you the cute snowboarding pants ?

What kind of cringe-worthy ingredients are we discussing here?

Let's see ... Day one of holidays I inadvertantly drilled a hole into one of my water pipes downstairs. Had to rip open the drywalled ceiling to get access to it ... Day 2 - our dog died. She was close t0 16 yrs old ... Day 3 - start of my worst cold ever. Still hanging on to it today. Yeah I had a crappy holiday.

Good guess!

Well, let's just say that you don't buy any of the ingredients in the produce section.

Moms 2005 Hyundai wouldn't start.

But then I jumped it, and it did. Terribleness fixed.

Other than the oven fire I had to put out as everyone else ran or stood and watched. It went rather well surprising.

Be sure to check them for money! (Old joke about the answer to your problems being in those books).

If you froget this or don't check be extra sure to check if whoever gave you those books tells you the answer to something can be found in them, and check one more time before telling them you tried and the answer isn't there.

My dad gave them to me. I think it was more for his comfort than mine.

It's been tough without our Snoopy. However time heals all. It's a new year and the way we figure it we're do for some good times. Actually I shouldn't complain, 2007 on the whole was great.

I had to do that once. A good shot of baking soda did the trick. How'd you manage to put out your oven fire?

how about meatloaf cakes...apparenlty they're Shmuckabee's favorite...i think Romney's favorite is chicken fried venison.EWwwwwww!

my holiday was just BORING! i was waiting for 2 checks to show up and they never did...

the worst was a few years ago when my moron brother in law brought his sick kid to xmas dinner, and then two days later we were both sick, ruined new year's eve. No, don't take the kid home and put her to bed- let her run around and infect everyone! grr....now i'm single...no more inlaws!!!

I fail to see what's gross about it. I like turkey, duck, and chicken. I don't see any harm in combining them. It's not like they are things that would taste bad when combined, like pickles and maple syrup.
