Friend died and I am totally bummed.....

A dear friend of mine just had a heart attack and passed away. He was the picture of health. I was hanging with him last weekend. He was buried today. A great guy with a heart of gold.

It is so odd to one day be sitting, chatting, and laughing and then find yourself crying a few days later.

He was one of those guys that would light up a room. You know. The kind of person you really are happy to see.

Today he was buried and it will be some time before I laugh again. I am totally bummed.

And good night Moon

People always think I'm crazy for giving away free hugs and always telling people I care about how much they mean to me. I say that you need to do this constantly for you never know when they will leave.

Path, I know this hurts you. I cannot say I feel your pain because we all take this differently, we all react to in ways that others can't.

You were able to spend that time with him last week doing what buddies do.

Being buddies.

You both are lucky that you got to spend time together. Sharing good times and loving each other. He will always be in your heart won't he?

((hugs))

A Zen thought: We don't truly die until all that remember us are dead. Remember the joy that your friendship gave. I'm sure that's how he'd want to be remembered.

There's nothing I can say that would add much to what she said. I'm terribly sorry to hear of this, and I hope things soon get brighter for you and everyone else who loved him.

Sorry, Path.

I had two of my best friends die of weird stuff in a short period
of time. I think of them daily. It really hurts so I try not to dwell.
Im sending good thoughts to their families and people who knew them.

Path. As my mom says, we have to smile between the tears. Its not easy. Sorry for your loss. When you look back at a friendship, you know each of you enhanced each others life and in a way you keep their essence alive by remembering .

Like Siu said, this is why we rejoice in having our friend & loved ones around when we we do. You never know when they're gonna jet on you.

I'm sorry for your loss. ((hugs))

So sorry to hear of your friend's death, PATH. ((hugs)) Let us know how we can best support you in healing. PM me anytime.

In the meantime, I prescribe large daily doses of Foo. Foo may also be taken at night in case of insomnia.

Sorry to hear about your friend PATH. I found out today that one of the member of my cycling club passed away in his sleep over New Years. The 31st he was emailing about the New Year's ride, called his family at 6pm, and then never showed up for the ride the next morning. He too was very fit (he had just finished riding 10,000mi in 2007! 500mi the last full week! Age age 54). It really hits home how fragile life can be and how we all need to make the most of our time.

Path, my condolences. This was obviously an unexpected death. Those are usually the hardest to deal with after the person has passed on. My thoughts are with you ... and while it may not mean much to you right now, time does heal all. You'll never forget him, however you will eventually be able to remember all the good times with clarity.

I am sorry to hear about your loss, my friend. I am sitting here wearing the Tour de Georgia shirt that my friend Matthew gave me a few years ago. We lost Matthew about 18 months ago and I still thank God for every minute that I knew him.

I sang at three funerals yesterday at church. It was a remarkable day.
