He has to clean it somehow.

So what, was it like a cellular sponge and held a lot of water?

And how! Or maybe a cellular chamois.

I guess I'll let it dry out for a week and see if it will work. I'm guessing NOT.

You'd be surprised. Take out the battery, and put it on an air vent. Let it sit for a day or two. Plug in your battery and try it.

Try to blow dry it. (And I don't mean by way of "huff and puff" - with a hairdryer, perhaps)

This happened to a couple of people I know. For one it worked, for the other it didn't.

Just don't melt it - that'd be my concern with a hair dryer.

What is this "indicator paper" you speak of?

I put it on a heater vent. My luck, the dog will find it and decide it's a nice chew toy.

Best to open it up into pieces and try and air dry it near a heater. Only seldomly will the phone come back to life, but that's your best shot.

It is a little piece of while paper about the size of a large pin head. If it is exposed to a certain degree of moisture it will turn pink like so:

But still give it a few days and see if it works.

best thing you can do is take out the battery asap. and then the sim card if you have one. take off the cover and all that junk. put it in a completely closed container, filled with rice. leave it for a day or two, and dont be impacient. the rice will soak up all the moisture and it should work just fine. ive ran my phone trough the washer twice, and also got thrown into a pool when i had my phone in my pocket, and this method always works. my first and only razr is still working to date. usually as long as you get the battery out asap it will be fine. if your little white dot turned red though, your warrentys gone.

Yeah, I don't think mine has anything like that. The displays are what's got me worried. I may try to figure out how to get the front cover off and see if I can get rid of some of the water. It could take a LONGG time for it to all dry by itself.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

UnFarkingBelievable! It works.

The displays are both fairly jacked up and a couple of other things are a little glitchy but I dialed the house phone and it rang.
