Has there ever been a marriage between two Bike Forums members? Any romantic relationships started here?

I'm thinking that A.Troll must have run off with MERTON and the Underwear Nazi. She seemed like one guy wouldn't quite do.

In one other bicycle forum I'm in there have been some relationships, but none leading to marriage - but there are also couple of married couples who post on there as individuals.

A hiking forum I'm on - yes there is one, if not two, couple(s) I know of on there who met and eventually married via the forum.

Mostly I see lots of people - some sectioning off (but not withdrawing from the forum - but rather developing a master e-mail group list/phone list) and becoming very close friends as I have with my other forum.

I have to say, one of my very closest friends, whom I have not seen for two years, lives in Toronto and I'm heading up there in March. I luvs me gurly friend - and I would not have met such a nice person - as well as many others had it not been for bicycle forums.

    OK, now my next question.

When's Sadie Hawkins day anyways? I've got some pickin to do!!

I met my boyfriend (Vireo) on a Southern California Bike Forums century. We were going south, he was going north...we stopped at the same 7-11, he turned around and rode south with us and the rest is history. He wasn't a member here...until he came to BF looking for me the next day.

    The day we met...

One year later in the parking lot of the 7-11.

When I told my boss I was getting married, he looked at me a asked, "Don't you have a watch?"

Perplexed, I replied, "Yes, I have a watch. Why?"

"Then you already know what time it is."

It turns out he was right. My wife has been telling me what time it is for 20 years now.
    That's gonna leave a mark.

Not a BF marriage but I proposed on a MB ride years before BF existed. Were still together and still riding together. Biking and marriage is good stuff.

My story's even geekier. I met my wife on a dial-up BBS back in '94 or so. No real interest, just someone I saw in passing on occasion. We were both online and bored one January night in '97, and met for coffee. A week later, we met again for dinner and a movie. That was 11 years ago to the day. We got hitched in 2001. The rest is history.
