Can you imagine what it must have been like seeing the Hillary Step (a 40 foot sheer wall of ice and rock) a few hundred feet below the summit and realizing you'd have to climb that bad boy @ 29,000 feet gasping for air? No ladders and ropes in place for Sir Edmund and Mr. Norgay that particular day. Man, that's just amazing.
