I think it's even in the Bible. Something to the effect of "If your ear twitches and keeps you awake, cut it off!"

I bet it is some sort of brain eating larva trying to get in. Lucky for you, you have tough eardrums. I would shove a red hot poker in there to kill the thing though. Either that or go see a doctor about your tinitisus.

kevmk81, is it your ear, or the scalp around your ear? And, if it's your ear, is it the outer ear, or more inside?

Calcium deficiency. I find when my eye start twitching a calcium pill will stop it in a half an hour or so.

There is something in ginger ale that will make your eye stop twitching too. I dont know what it is though. What do you do if the muscle in your thigh starts twitching? Mine does it all the time but I think it may just be nerve damage from a previous injury.

Calcium OR Potassium deficiency will cause muscle twitches. Either one.
