Cyclist Dating Website

Think anyone would use something like this? A friend and I were just talking and this came up (we both like cycle-chicks).

I heard several years ago the president of AOL say at a conference they did a study of internet users and "50% were males and the other 50% were males impersonating females." Very similar situation to cyclists.

On a related subject. I see someone posted a link to the site up above. Here's a warning about them...

cyclingsingles.com is totally crap! I joined for the one month trial and it wasn't worth it by a long shot. Guess what...now I'm fighting with them to stop billing my credit card every month ! I'm ready to go to my state attorney general and my credit card company. I hope no one here in Foo has given those *ss!oles their credit card number.

Right. That's why the site sucked. There was maybe like 5 real woman on the site. One of them was someone I knew from my bike club! She had problems with the site as well.

Your credit card company should be the second place you call immediately after the website itself. Credit cards like happy customers.

Why not just go out and meet wimminz the old fashioned way? By talking to them. It's a lost art but once you figure out that you have absolutely nothing to lose and could gain someone you love you will get over the fear or rejection.

By the way, I saw a link on the top of BF the other day to a biking singles site. So if you are going down that route just keep hitting refresh til it pops up.

Not true, there is a thread for them here. However, I've decided that cycling ladies only exist in some weird internet dimension that I can never enter, because they sure as heck don't live around here.

How many times do we need to say it before it sinks in? You live in a place that does not radiate bike love. Sad but true. You will need to go elsewhere if you want that.

I've never yet used the site recommended by Snowy, but I think I will now. My other two sites haven't worked for me, in spite of having found and contacted the few avid cyclists on each.... <shrug>

Oh I know. I just can't afford to move right now and for once I actually kind of like my job.

Wait, BF isn't a dating site?

No wonder no one's asked me out.

Now I don't feel so bad about myself.

From what I can tell, dating sites normally have a huge disadvantage towards the guys, almost as if it's more of a low/no-risk gamble than anything.

Of course, I could be all out wrong...

This is the same for all dating sites and in real life. Unless you're Brad Pitt, the guys are the ones doing everything.

Nobody said you had to meet them on the trail. My biking group used to have all kinds of get togethers and BBQ's and things like that. I also met some friends in a hash group which had a lot of cyclists in it.

There are plenty of hot women cyclists where I live...

Unfortunately, most are lesbians or married.

The luck, I tell you!
