I have a headache now

As a bunch of you remember I got sick a bit back and no one knows why. Since then I developed memory issues (anti retro grade amnesia) and I have seizures every so often. I am up to around 15-16 big seizures now. I dont remember any of them of course but eh thats trivial. Anyway I applied for disability 4-6 months ago because I lost almost every qualification I had because of the seizures, and they seem to be stress triggered more than anything. plus hiring someone with limited short term memory seems to be a bad idea. I did take a part time job as a bouncer at a night club but i quit that recently over a pay dispute.

Anyway I called my lawyer today only to find out the person who had been working my case was fired several weeks ago. The person I spoke to informed me that the expected turn around time was 12-15 months. I am curious why I was not informed of this before now.

Speaking to my doctor at yesterdays appointment he was vague on if he thought I should get a job or not, and said I should ask one of my other doctors. This should be easy since i have two more appointments this week.

Ahhh bureaucracy. Makes you wanna flip your lid. I'd call my local councilman/alderman/congressman and get on their ass to help out a constituent. Good luck!

It's not lupus.

All the best, man. I hope they figure out what's going on.

they dont know what it is. i have been tod my case was presented to the entire board of neurology.

you just never want the doctor to open your file and say "oh damn"
or have a different doctor open your file and say "wow this is you, coooolll"

i did notice my file now has big red letters on the front about a drug warning from when i took out the nurses because of a bad drug interaction

If you're talking about Social Security Disability, from what I understand, 12-25 months would be pretty standard. And there's a good chance you'll be denied. They seem to use the time and expense of the appeals process to weed out applicants who are "serious." Great system, eh?
