I've got one of them days where I can't get out of the funk. You know?
A few things have nailed me in my beanbag and it triggered some nasty low stuff. I need some help (good or bad). Throw it my way. Must harden the ... oh, who am I kidding.

Here's the low down if you must know.

Went to the doc. He found something on my leg they need to look at and cut off - sending me to a specialist.

A/C unit went out - ~$4000 to replace.

Guy at work I need to punch in both of his faces. This was a guy helping me with rides home so I can train and commute in the morning. Now I have no ride because he's a two-faced prick and I need to get over it but it's going to take some time and then I will but don't know if I want to ride with him anymore just so he can't have ammo to talk about me to others in the office

The weather is holding me indoors and my new bike is crying out to me.

    Boo-fricken-hoo.

Of all the things you mentioned, sub, I hope the biopsy turns out benign. ((hugs))

Keep us informed, sub. For now, here's some Foo-love and Foo-energy. I, too, have moments where what seem like little things to others just set me back on my ass. Hard to explain why this happens, but it does. Chin up!

Good luck to you on the leg thingy. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

On the AC. Are you sure you have to replace the whole thing? There are some programs that give discounts/rebates if you are replacing the whole AC/Heater combo thing because of the new and improved energy efficient woo haa devices. Check with your power company. They don't always announce this.

As for the sneaky guy in the office. Who needs him? Ride home! Makes you stronger and better. If it's a matter of time, perhaps you can get another person at work to help you out. In the meantime, this guy just doesn't exist, doesn't he?

Take care. I hope things are brighter for you.

    Thanks peeps.

I'll be biking home soon - doing full commutes. But it's 85 mile round trip and it takes a lot more out of me when it's cold. During the spring and summer it's OK.

And as for the guy that doesn't exist; it just pisses me off that he comes to me in secrecy to blab about someone, talks crap about them all the way home, tells me how this guy doesn't like me, then goes and has lunch with him. He's a tool. Then he comes back and tells me what a jackass he is and how he's doing things on purpose to get under my skin. It's like he wants to start crap and be in the middle of it.

I've learned to keep my mouth shut around him.

I really have a strong distaste for provocateurs, too, sub. Good on ya to refuse to be sucked into the guy's games.

As for the weather, Sunday will be cold, but you may be able to get a ride in. Next week should be cold but sunny, too.

Just think of it this way. The poor guy needs something to keep his mind going. He obviously likes to start trouble and what that does, is makes his life seem like butter. He probably has issues at home that you don't know about and this is all a distraction to him. It makes him think his life isn't that bad. Sucks to be him.

Celebrate the fact that you don't need to be like him.

If you see his devious ways, I'm sure others do too. Let him make the fool of himself. The others will figure it out. And if there is gossip that another coworker is having a problem with you, go up to that guy and tell him "I hope I didn't do anything to upset you, I'm hearing that I have" That should open the door for you to resolve any issues with the other dude.

The only thing i can add, is that I wish I was dealing with AC issues. Mine is buried in snow as it has been since about November. Hope the biopsy turns out well which i am sure it will. As far as the other dude, he is two faced. That doesn't make him unique. I don't know the exact term for the variety of two faced people who weaken you with kindness to steal your secrets, and share with others but I know who they are.

I've seen a lot of them. Those a-holes are to be avoided like the plague and the only information i share with them is stuff that they could read in the paper. NEVER anything personal. In fact i don't share much personal with too many outside of family if i can avoid it. It's a good policy.

Cheer yourself up, go to the gym and check out the old guy with the hot ass!

But seriously, 85 mile round trip commute on a bike? I'd say you've already H'edTFU plenty. I sometimes find myself wishing I could just drive sometimes on my eight mile round trip commute.

    Thanks X.
I don't do it a lot. Because of training, I tend to slack off the commutes so I can focus on other things before I start racing.
