Is this one of those things where if you don't know the definition you most assuredly ARE the answer?

Fred meaning nOOb, poser, loser, overachiever by roadie standards?

not sure. none of my bikes look anything like that.

but i rarely wear actual cycling clothing anymore, as i'm usually riding to or from somewhere (instead of just riding to ride).

i was wearing shredded jeans, a Jimmy Buffett t-shirt, and Chuck Taylors on my rides today.

no mirrors or helmet.

what am i?

Don't run red lights, wear a helmet, use hand signals, get some cycle lights(front and rear) and, FFS, don't run red lights!

those are a dime a dozen in the UK.

btw - your fondness for powercranks reveals that you're most likely a techno-fred.

aye - the techno bit probably explains my insistance on disc brakes for road bikes...

...and the fred why I carry three innertubes and still use a frame fit pump

Edit: kind of funny being quoted by one of the least fred like personalities on these forums....but I'd never admit that publicly

How big is your alert shirt fleet? I've got about 7 t-shirts, 2 sweat shirts and one jacket from the alert shirt peeps.
