All alone in my office with 130 servers

I have the con. Yep, it happens a lot so I’m real use to it. It is kind of nice because it gets real quite except for the servers. I work from 9-6. Most of the other guys leave at 4:30.

You think it's quiet with a hundred and thirty servers blaring away? Try shutting them off.

All that constant background noise is killing your hearing. I used to work in a similar environment....I'm now looking in to hearing aids.

I know...turn off the air conditioning...see how long it takes for them to overheat and shutdown.
You can even make bets on which one will go 1st!

Windows 2003 Enterprise and a variety of Linux is mainly on Dell and IBM. All VMís are on IBM. The Unix is all on IBM p595 with DS8300 storage. Mainframe is a IBM z9 with IBM 8100 storage. I donít control the Mainframe.

I have a Crackberry with remote to the servers. It's pretty damn cool. I can reboot a server from, let say WalMart or out on a bike ride.

Technically, it's our plate, and the food isn't yours until it arrives at the table.

You had a fly (or maybe it was a wart) on your neck. I was eliminating it.

Mmmm... Windows 2003 Enterprise. Good server OS, and a great gaming OS (because it doesn't install much junk by default.)

Upgrading to Windows 2008 when it releases in March, by chance?
