I generally like women who normally don't use much, or even none at all. On men I don't care. They can do whatever they want and it won't make them attractive to me.

That's how I feel. What's worse is women who are perfectly fine without it using them to the extremes.

+10000000000000000000000000000000

I HATE make up, any makeup. Makeup just detracts from a woman's looks. Even not so attractive women look WORSE with makeup, IMO.

You know Onbike 1939 would find that to be a disgraceful statement!

I'm working on my Clara Bow impersonation right now .

I say a little blush, some lipstick/lip gloss, and some eyeliner and eyeshadow.

EDIT: ^That sounds like a lot, but it is very well done and understated--what I thought I saw there was only a hint of.

Okay, but you have to grow a bouffant and somehow make your mouth look absolutely tiny.

Almost impossible, but I'm working on it.

Nekohime, you look great! Your makeup is very subtle, just enough to bring sparkle to your personality .

tastefully done, it's fine. but it's really easy to go overboard.

i've only dated one gal who wore makeup, and she didn't wear much. mostly just lipstick.

If you're wearing any, it's not much and done very tastefully.

That said, YOWZA!

MAC? Yes, its makeup. Very expensive makeup, usually Nordstrom's sells it, and yes, its worth getting if you can afford it. Same with Lancome.

As for my opinion, depends on the look one is going for. Makeup is a tool, and if someone does a good job, it looks good... if someone doesn't... well... see the above Joker picture, and grab some brain/eye bleach. IMHO, no makeup is a perfectly fine option as well. To each his own.

Ok, answer to my "fun game" above: WAAAAAAAAAY more than you guys think. I had--from bottom layer to top--concealer, foundation, cream blush, loose powder, eyebrow pencil, eyeliner, eyeshadow (3 shades, though you can't tell in the pic because I was focusing on the glasses), mascara, and tinted lipgloss. Phew. The secret to wearing lots of makeup but not looking it is to get colors that exactly match your complexion, then blend, blend, blend, then blend some more. Preferably with a big fluffy brush.

That said, I usually don't wear that much makeup. Usual thing is just tinted moisturizer, loose powder, and lipbalm/gloss. I just find it incredibly fun to try my artistic hand at painting my face sometimes, because when I try painting a canvas (or drawing, sculpting, other fine arts) I am made of FAIL.

The true test for cosmetic mastery is liquid eyeliner. Some have a steady hand for it, others don't.

How long did that take you? Half an hour? I remember a guy in high school that spent 30 minutes on his hair alone, talk about excessive.

Love it! Especially the cat-eye liner look that's in these days. I just try not to apply it when my little siblings are running around

Um...can't remember, but I never take longer than 30mins to apply makeup. Anything longer is excessive unless you need it for stage/photo/film/whatever. It takes me around 5min to do my "everyday" makeup, so I estimate that one took 15-20min.

30mins for hair? *dies* I take 0mins to do my hair in the morning because I brush it in the shower, then I just leave it hanging down. My hair gets mussed by the helmet anyway, so why bother fixing it. You wouldn't believe the tangles I get. Kinda like this:
