Green Green Green Green

The NASCAR season starts Saturday Night with the Bud Shootout followed the twin 125's during the week, then the 50th running of the Daytona 500. It is really an exciting race to watch, if your not a fan but wonder what NASCAR is about this is the race to watch. Unlike most sports where the big event is at the end of the year the 500 is the race of the year, there are teams and drivers that prepare run just this race

There are lots of new things that will make this an exciting year. The COT (car of tomorrow), JR to Hendrick Motorsports, more Toyota teams, how soon before Sprint goes bankrupt, more open wheel drivers, and the list goes on.

Also nascar.com's track pass free during the twin 125 races next week.

Note: For those that don't understand my title, that is what spotters radio to the driver when the green flag drops at the start of a race or after a caution.

Lets go racing

I'll also say this:

You are currently associated with all dumb rednecks. Redneck is a term we use here a lot to describe ignorant, southern folk for whatever reason we see fit. It's OK to make fun of rednecks, americans, christians, or the like. Just to let you know.

Also, I'm a dumb, southern, redneck who believes in Christ.

BTW, there has been a bit of a ruckus here in Dallas concerning billboards put up giving reasons why Dale Jr. changed teams. Several said something along the lines of "Reason 88: Stepmother". Apparently, this brought about letters of protest from Dale Jr.'s sister and his stepmother.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty funny. I like the Jimmy Johnson billboards, 48 twice as good as 24.

Baseball is by far my favorite stick and ball sport, I can't wait for opening day. However I'm a Texas Rangers and Colorado Rockies fan so around May or so it is hard to follow my teams, except this last year of course.

Great riding weather predicted for this weekend.

I'll carry the spirit of nascar and only make left turns when I go out for my ride.

Lets see 3 lefts = 1 right

I have a lot of respect for the Superbike guys. Is there a Speed HD channel, that would be cool.

nah, I never got past little league. I sucked.

Did play softball in formal leagues up until about 5 years ago.
But I live about 2 miles from LSU's baseball stadium. The 90's were good to us. Recent years, not so much

Thats cool, I would love to go check out some college games again, of those teams play the game better then the pro teams. Anyhow spring time is just around the corner and all the good things that come with it.

Me too. The racing in WSBK is pretty hot compared to MotoGP, which is getting almost as predictable (ie boring) as F1. It's nice to see they still bang fairings and run up the inside in WSBK. The little Japanese guy, Noriukgi Haga is a thrill to watch.

Anyhoo....

A google search finds this.

http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/01/03...e-on-speed-hd/

I heard about it elsewhere.

Texasmotorplex is pretty nice. Wandering the paddocks is as much fun as watching the races.
