I just visited the P&R forum for the first time.

Wow. What a fun group. Just like the Foosters. But a little bit different.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Yeah, things have really changed in P&R since we got tough with them. It's not a snake pit any more and actually pretty fun! I really enjoy it in there now. Great topics and yes you can have fun discussing politics and religion, and science and cosmology various Philosophy disciplines and all the really big questions

Momma said never to discuss politics, religion, or sports, if a conversation were to remain civil. Sounds like it is now civil over there now in P & R. I much prefer the Foo though!

Most events of anyone's day to day life have political and/or religious connotations. People who keep their head in the sand about it are cowardly and not very interesting to talk to, generally. This is why Foo is often mind-numbingly insipid.

DC Universe has 52 dimensions, by the way.

Kris, What a nice bike that is there! How are things going at work? How are the wife and kids? What is going on with the car trouble you were having. What do think I should do to fix my lawn up? The weather is terrible around the country is it not?

Did you hear that joke about the circus clown and the airline attendant? Do you like Strawberry Bosco?
My you look in great shape these days....what program are you using. What stocks are you investing in?
In the mundane world of everyday I generally don't talk about religion. I usually don't talk about politics. Heck I don't even talk sports. I usually end up talking about work and family.

Many of my cycling friends have political beliefs antithetical to mine and we are all aware of this and long ago decided to live and let live. I don't discuss religion as it is intensely personal for me. I talk about some sporting events but I do not discuss the lack of merit as concerns the opinion of others.

Cowardly? Nahhh! Head in the sand? Nahhhhh! Uninteresting and insipid? Sometimes I guess but then again who isn't.

So....Awful weather we're having these days ehh?

We're supposed to be celebrating the radical transformation that P&R has undergone...

...not re-enacting the old order.

Instead of ragging on Path, start a thread in P&R to discuss this issue and invite Path to join in.

May I suggest as the topic Hannah Arendt's conception of the banal?

To be clear, I wasn't trying to be insulting to PATH at all, apologize if it came across that way. Besides, I'm a huge Bloom County fan, (which, ironically, often gets political. ) Just making a point. Foo is sort of like trustworthy, boring old Superman, whereas P&R is Bizarro with a lampshade on his head.

Kris, I in no way thought you were insulting me. Upon reflection I will enter into P&R just to see what it is all about. The reason I like Foo is because I can be silly and ridiculous which I cannot do in my work a day world. Bloom County was great as a satirical cartoon that lampooned everybody!

By the way DC had some great heroes. Please note that they had the Green Lantern who was as cool as any of the Marvel guys. Hey what about the Hawkman and Flash. Don't forget Sgt. Rock! Aquaman could not hold a candle to Namor of Atlantis. Superman and Batman were lame-os compared to The Silver Surfer, The Hulk, and Spider Man!.

Marvel had Thor, Iron Man, and the ever popular Doctor Strange!

Okay I'll jump into P&R!
