too many posts, too many words.. -NOT ENOUGH BANNING. (for real). :P

You know.. there is maybe such a thing as contributing too much to BF -? And no, I'm not referring to the thankless long hard hours of moderation work done by ppl like donnamb and Mr. Stormcrowe -- in fact they should be doing a little bit 'more' imo. I think they are in some ways too unselective when it comes to who to restrict from some of the forums, -is there anyone else who shares this opinion? Seriously.. shouldn't there be a feature where if you exceed a certain number of posts or word count -- you receive an automatic temporary banning. Like a 'time out.' Is that possible/feasible?

Before donnamb let me back into P&R I was getting A LOT done - I was writing stuff -- stuff that just got dropped the 'second' I got let back into P&R.. I mean, now they're just stories w/o endings -- completely unresolved, like that movie 'No Country for Old Men' - anybody who's seen that movie knows exactly what I'm talking about. That was an awesome movie, and would have been a great novel too.. -but then who ever was writing it probably got let back to their favorite forum or something, and just up and left the room - like mid-sentence. Seriously I don't even know why they made that guy's stuff into movies? Sure it 'might' have been great w/ some serious potential -- but obviously it wasn't good 'enough' to actually finish.. But 'my' stuff is (imo). It's good to me, and it's important to me.. Really, what else will I have to show of my existence if a bus driver decided to run me down tomorrow - or the day after that? That stuff needs to get done.. it weighs heavily on my minds to just have it left all undone like that.. - but there's just no way it can compete with P&R and this forum. I mean you guys sometimes actually WRITE BACK. My stories don't do that - I have to do all the writing for them ('duh').. And sometimes I get distracted. And to be honest, you ppl aren't helping, not really.

So.. pls. Is there such a feature? Would it be an easy matter to implement one? Give it some thought. And give me some feed back. thx.

'Strunk and White'? ..Are you kidding me? Yeah, I've checked out that book for like tenth time - so I can burn it, page-by-unintelligible page. They were like the original 'grammar nazis' - they made quite possibly the worst most costly contribution to our language -- ever, imo. Basically that book is about how to write WITHOUT using WORDS -? haha, well I got a better idea.. how bout I just don't read it - and burn it instead? They didn't invent the english language? What makes them think they can dictate how it's used? ..did they buy the rights? NO. You can't copyright the ****ing english language.. sorry, it's not how it's done. They don't decide how I use it, nor do you, nor can anyone else. Words are 'free' - in every sense of the word, and when properly used - they are invaluable and a force to reckon with. There is NO substitute -- and if there is I'd like you to demonstrate it for me. -?

Let me get this straight....

You have unfinished stories, blame the forum for not having the time to work on them, and want some sort of auto-banning feature to kick you off when you blather on too much?

Simple solution: There's a cable on the back of your computer, sort of looks like a phone plug but wider. Unplug that and you'll have a lot more time to yourself.

No man.. I got wireless. I'd have to soak my notebook in the tub or something drastic like that to accomplish this - what you're suggesting.. And I'm not doing that. Not yet.

Words are free. Too free as you have so amply demonstrated.
Conveying meaning with the minimum of words
required helps ensure that the reader will actually
receive your intended meaning--while rambling on
ensures that your meaning and credibility will be
compromised.

This is the same kind of thinking behind rule 17.
It also illustrates irony.

Seriously, do you not see the humor in this?

Vodka, huh? I know all about that. Most of the older wimmins in my family (Polish) won't have it in the house.

I'm hearing the RIP comedian - Louie Anderson ..

You've been here four hours, you go home now! (or something like that)

Been posting on forums for at least the last 8 years - sometimes I posted a lot, other times not. Thought I'd actually post more with internet at home --- but I don't seem too.

And if someone banned me for - Too many? See ya

Now ... if there was a SO, then I would not have so much time to post here or there

m-hmm. Am I supposed to be trying to impress somebody? Really.. who exactly are we supposed to be impressing - with 'our' words?

Uh-oh.. I better edit that down to a bite sized chunk - otherwise my 'credibility' might be ''compromised''

dood. . where do you get this stuff? Oh yeah.. -that book. Toss it in the incinerator man, Erase that rubbish from your mind. Do it. You'll thank me. Really, it'll open up possibilities that you never even knew existed.

I'm just giving you the bizness. I could care less if you
ramble on. There is no text markup for sarcastic tone.

I'll keep my copy of S and W.
