If your Doc hasn't suggested therapy, ask for it. You will need to do stretching, and
the physical therapy should include balancing the strength of your muscles. Spent a whole winter getting physical therapy for my hip several years ago. It was a pain in the butt, literally and metaphorically.
Might be time to take up Yoga...
I have to tell you, I love this stuff...
You should stay off the bike for a while and let your body heal, IMHO.
