Did you miss me???

I haven't been online since last Wednesday morning. It seems my DSL modem bit the dust. It took 9 calls to tech support (in India ) last week to determine the line was ok and the modem was bad. Then it took 2 more calls today (to locals in Atlanta ) to get me set up again and back online, and credit my account for the offline time and free modem and free shipping. I've been with Earthlink for 12 years and this is first BAD experience I've had with them. By Saturday afternoon I was considering calling AT&T or some other ISP and asking about their service. I may still look around, but I'm afraid they all have customer service and tech support in India.

So -- what did I miss on BF?

<edit> Happy Birthday to the ones I missed </edit>

Well, the bad news is that you missed out on a very wild wet T-shirt contest for the ladies of Foo...

The good news for you is that Chipcom won...

You know, you didn't really miss much.

Which is good.

Oh, I did hand out macadamia nut shortbread to everyone, but I know you don't eat stuff like that.

I did miss you, because I think there were some ATL people in introductions and I know you normally reply to those... .

If you've been with Earthlink for 12 years and only just had a bad experience, I think I'd stick with them.

There must have been 50 threads asking where RonH was. Where did they all go? I don't see them anymore.

Is posting a link to Rick Roll illegal? I'm laughing too hard to take that one seriously.
